Short: Imagine: Motorola 68020 object w/Socket Author: Gabriele Niccolini, lele1701e@hotmail.com Uploader: Gabriele Niccolini, lele1701e hotmail com Type: pix/3dobj Version: 1.0 Architecture: generic --------------------------------------------------------------- INTRO I must admit that I forgot about this object and, as far as I remember, I created it more than two years ago, in February 2015. After that date, my Amiga 1200 layed alone in her shelf doing nothing. Then, one week ago, I had a flash and turn her on again. At first I was a little worried because she didn't started well, but after a couple of hours of working with the caps at full power, she started back being the killing machine as usual. Surfing on her hard drive I found this old work and here we go with the Motorola 68020 in PGA package with socket for Imagine! Based upon the successful design of the 68030, this object sports all details of the real counterpart, including a boosting speed of 20MHz! As usual, the object has been created and rendered entirely on a real Commodore Amiga 1200 with Blizzard 1230 MK3 030/882 @ 50MHz. No emulators or surrogates has been used! Don't forget that a couple of hours of Amiga twice a week makes your life better! THE PACKAGE The package contains: - MC68020.iob The processor object for Imagine - MC68020SKT.iob The socket object for Imagine - 68020iob.readme It's what you're reading now - MC68020_01.jpg Image of the 68020 you just downloaded - MC68020_02.jpg same as above - MC68020_03.jpg same as above - MC68020_04.jpg same as above but it shows the pins - MC68020_05.jpg Image of the socket - MC68020_06.jpg same as above but it shows the pins - MC68020_07.jpg Image of the 68020 on top of the socket - MC68020_08.jpg same as above REQUIREMENTS Requirements are not quite high for this object but, I must suggest you to use at least an accelerated Amiga with 68030/68882 @ 33MHz or better with at least 16Megs of Fast RAM. Of course the faster the Amiga the shortest the rendering time, but if you use Imagine, you are used to slowness. Another suggestion is to raise the antialias levels while rendering by putting the Threshold at 1 and leaving the Rays per Pixel limit steady at 20. The images has been rendered with the standard Threshold of 10 and, by a close sight, they don't look that good. INSTALLATION No textures or brushes has been used so you just need to put the objects in your favourite directory and load it in Imagine starting the fun. COPYRIGHT You're free to use the object for all the images you want. The only thing I ask is to not upload the archive or any part of the files contained in the archive, on other repositories. I want to be sure that this object will be kept ONLY on Aminet because, for me, it's THE ONLY Amiga's repository and main resource. Feel free to contact me anytime. Have a good one, and happy renderings. C=Commodore Amiga rules!
