NewsPro is an NNTP client designed for use with any Commodore-Amiga
computer running Kickstart 3.0 or higher. Its features include:

   · Operates in any display environment, supports all screen display modes

   · Amiga User Interface Style Guide compliant user interface

   · Supports Miami (tested) and AmiTCP V3.0 and above (untested)

   · Supports AmigaDOS wildcards for newgroup subscription

   · Select articles based on size, subject line content and article number
     range

   · Maintains list of articles that have been read

   · Downloads articles into a newsgroup tree

   · Reads articles into a scrolling list

   · Sound cues provide audible feedback on status (using datatypes).


This release is intended to allow others to see if a program like this is
of any use to them for reading internet news. Some features are unfinished,
however the program is completely functional. Most functions that are not
implemented (finished) at this stage are ghosted in the user interface. The
documentation describes configuration and operation.
