(http://aminet.net/tree?path=mods) Yes! That's more than 20,000 modules to play and enjoy! There are also thousands of modules on AMP, Haxor.fi, Modland, Modules.pl. So, why not have a program that could automatically download one module at-a-time, extract it, and play it using your favorite player? This is the purpose of AmiModRadio! It can download, unarchive, and send modules to your favorite players: AmigaAMP, DeliTracker, EaglePlayer, HippoPlayer, MultiPlayer, TuneNet, and more. *** Essentials AmiModRadio is composed essentially of seven components: - A small FTP client (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_Transfer_Protocol) to access Aminet and Modland and download archives containing modules; - A HTTP client (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypertext_Transfer_Protocol) to access Haxor.fi and download modules; - A HTTPS client (http://aminet.net/search?query=amissl&ord=DESC&sort=date) to access ModArchive and Modules.pl; - A XAD client (http://aminet.net/package/util/arc/xadmaster020) to unarchive the downloaded archives; - A ARexx (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARexx) command-and-control system to gently ask players to play the module; - A CLI interface to control the program simply and with less resources. - Three different GUIs to control the various parts of AmiModRadio, e.g., to pause/play, skip, or rate modules: - ClassAct (https://aminet.net/package/dev/gui/classact33) - MUI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_User_Interface) - ReAction (https://wiki.amigaos.net/wiki/ReAction) - All-one-one (with MUI as default, tooltypes/switches to choose another) *** License AmiModRadio is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation, either version 3 of the License, or (at your option) any later version.
